Flanking the entryway to the guest-wing with the Ki-rin, the Phoenix quarters are located at the north-west corner, next to their twin - the Scorpion. Warm colors of reds and orange dominate the interior, and hanging lanterns further illuminate the warm feeling of the room. Forsaking paintings or wall-scrolls, most of the decor apart from the lanterns here are potted plants and miniature trees.

The common area for the Phoenix is more cozy than most, with a cushioned bench by the window that provide the perfect spot for reading, relaxing, or napping. The bench is flanked by two small cabinets that contain a variety of scrolls on many different subjects - donated by Shiba and Asako both - and they are all educational. There is also a small table in the room where one can eat their meals or simply enjoy tea with company. Lastly, there are shelves with blank scrolls and writing material, and guests are encouraged to write their own contributions that can be added to the small library that the Phoenix quarters are trying to build.

The second room of the area is for sleeping, with comfy sleeping mats that can be rolled out. Orange paper-screens can be placed out to screen areas for privacy, and wooden cabinets are available for storing one's personal items in for the duration of the stay. In the center of the sleeping area is a hearth that can be lit to provide warmth.
